There is no popular movie on Netflix like a new comedy, at first glance, it does not seem to have great potential. However, the numbers speak for themselves: last week alone, the film was seen more than 20 million times – great success.
Usually, visually impressive motion movies dominate broadcasting plans. But the current image is different. At the top of the world rankings, a film focuses on four grandmothers of Italian origin – on the suspicion of Vince von.

In the middle of “Nonnas” is an impressive and unusual story. After the death of his mother, Joe Scarvilla, played by Vince von, he decides to give his life a new direction. It opens an Italian restaurant called “Enoteca Maria” on Statin Island – in honor of his mother. Instead of relying on trained chefs, it rents grandmothers with Italian roots. But as often in life, everything extends smoothly.
Stephen Chaposky, known as films such as “Maybe Tomorrow” and “Miracle”, is responsible for directing comedy. Stars such as Susan Sarandon, Linda Cardilini, Dia Dia De Matteo and Joe Manjano honor on the screen. The film is currently available exclusively on Netflix.

“Nonnas” has been available on Netflix since May 9, 2025, and since then has occupied the list of the 10 best broadcast service at a rapid pace. Between 12 and 18 May, the film watched more than 20 million times, which corresponds to about 38 million hours.
