Samsung announced the first Android XR headphone, Project Moohan, last December. It was then shown at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January by the Korean brand without providing any specific time frame for its launch. We still have no launch date, but Google revealed that Project Moohan would be Available to buy later this year.
This inspiration came from the online search giant at Mountain View yesterday during the Google I/2025 key speech. Google also said that the Samsung Moohaan project – whose actual name might be – will be the first Android XR device and will have “Gemini next to you”.
In addition, Google said that Android XR was built together as a team with Samsung and improved for Snapdragon with Qualcomm, and there are hundreds of developers who have been building this platform since the release of developers inspection last year.
Samsung or Google did not reveal a lot about the Project Moohan, but we know that it will be played by Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2.
