Clarifai Compute Orchestration and Reasoning Engine Joins Nebius

Today, we’re excited to announce an important milestone in Clarifai’s journey: we have entered into an agreement for Nebius (NASDAQ: NBIS), the cloud AI company, to license our core engineering and research talent and license our intellectual property for AI inference and coordination computation.

For more than a decade, we at Clarifai have been obsessed with building the ultimate software layer for AI. Our license agreement is intended to enhance Nebius Token Factory To create a complete and integrated inference platform. While Nebius’ recent acquisition of Eigen AI focuses on model-level optimization, Clarifai is working on optimizing the system, creating the end-to-end infrastructure required to reliably run complex AI models in production.

Our performance improvement will rival the highest speeds in the industry, enhance compute orchestration to open the cloud to a broader customer base and push the boundaries of Nebus Token Factory.

A new era of frontier artificial intelligence research

As part of this transformation, I am very proud to take on the role of Senior Vice President of Research at Nebius. I will lead a new dedicated research unit focused on groundbreaking AI innovations, including agentive reasoning, multimodal global models, symbolic efficiency, and long-term memory.

The future of AI – from advanced agent systems to leading models – depends entirely on the infrastructure that powers it. By combining our proven experience in training cutting-edge AI models with the elite team at Nebius, we are uniquely positioned to become one of the most powerful embedded AI teams on the planet.

The scope of the agreement is limited to Clarifai’s state-of-the-art AI inference and computational coordination technology. It does not include Clarifai’s legacy computer vision models. Clarifai brand or trademark, or any intellectual property, products, services or commercial arrangements associated with Clarifai’s U.S. government and defense programs.
